This class did the work. We just got to walk alongside them.
The headline numbers
We want you to focus on that 96% number for a second, because it's the one we care about most. Getting in somewhere is good. Getting into one of your top 5 is a completely different feeling, both for the student and for us, because it means the strategy behind the list actually worked. It means we didn't just build a list to fill applications; we built one that matched our students personally.
Who this class was
This was one of our most geographically spread classes yet. We had seniors applying from 7 countries: Honduras, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, El Salvador, the United States, and Taiwan. Every one of them came with a different context, a different budget, and a different set of dreams. That is honestly the best part of this job. There is no template that works for all of them, so we do not use one.
That range shows up in the schools too. Our seniors applied to close to 150 universities this year, roughly 19 of them outside the United States:
- Tec de Monterrey
- Universidad Anáhuac
- UDEM
- Universidad de Navarra
- IE University
- Esade
- Universidad Carlos III de Madrid
- Universidad Complutense de Madrid
- Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore
- John Cabot University Rome
- Politecnico di Torino
- Istituto Marangoni
- Northeastern University London
- King's College London
- University of Aberdeen
- Concordia University
- Carleton University
- University of Alberta
- University of Victoria
That list alone tells you something about our families. They are not only looking at the US. They are looking at the world, and they want a coach who can help them think globally instead of defaulting to the usual suspects.
The scholarship number that matters most to us
$4.7M sounds big on its own, but the number we keep coming back to is the average: about $78,000 per senior. That is not one or two students pulling the average up. That is the whole class.
That is what happens when we push families to apply broadly and honestly, when we flag financial fit early instead of after decisions come in, and when we are upfront about which schools are realistic reaches versus which ones are genuinely within reach financially.
And then there are the three full-tuition scholarships this year. Those are life-changing for a family, and we do not say that lightly. Covering tuition in full can be the difference between a student going to their dream school or not going at all. Watching those three students open those letters is the kind of moment that makes our students and coaches proud of the work they put in.
Why this matters beyond the numbers
To be honest, we could talk about strategy and process forever, but the truth is simple: 60 students trusted us with one of the biggest decisions of their lives, and 60 students got in somewhere.
That's not luck. That's a year of honest conversations, hard financial-fit conversations, list revisions, essay drafts, and a lot of "let's be real with each other" moments between coaches and families.
If you are a family reading this and wondering whether this could be your student's story next year, this is exactly why we do what we do. We do not build lists off a formula. We build them off who your student actually is, what your family can actually afford, and what is actually realistic to reach for.
